Perseus is played by Sam Worthington who does merely enough to build us believe he can easily play a sword wielding brute, while Neeson and Fiennes, who are fantastic actors in their particular right give the film true star backing by playing Zeus and Hades. Both brothers, Zeus and Hades, are fighting to find out who is correct in their belief and health of their human subordinates.
